KLYV – the safe first children’s knife
This children’s knife is designed to help little ones learn to cook safely in the kitchen. It’s perfect for little chefs aged 2 and up (we recommend starting practice under adult supervision from 18 months) and helps build self-confidence, coordination, and fine and gross motor skills through real cooking experiences.
The knife is made from high-quality materials and stands out for its safe design and aesthetic, minimalist style, inspired by Scandinavian simplicity. Its handle contains about 30% wheat fiber, reducing the amount of plastic. “KLYV” helps turn healthy cooking into a fun family activity that brings children, parents, and even grandparents closer together.
The special wedge-shaped blade design makes it easier for children to cut fruits and vegetables, encourages safe, controlled movements, and reduces the risk of accidents.
What makes this knife unique?
A safe knife for children to cut fruits and vegetablesDesigned for use with one or both handsEncourages a natural cutting motion for beginnersHelps develop fine motor skills, coordination, and independenceBlunt stainless steel bladesRecommended for use under adult supervision

Always use only under adult supervision. Place food on a stable surface (a cutting board is recommended). Encourage the child to hold the knife comfortably and firmly. When cutting fruit or vegetables, practice slow, controlled movements. After use, wash the knife and store it out of the reach of small children.

Inspired by the Montessori method and adapted for small hands, this extremely soft wooden needle with cotton thread will allow children to develop their skills by stringing beads. First of all, they will learn to thread the needle. They will learn to coordinate the work of both hands. Then, they can repeat the order in which they threaded the beads or count how many they have already threaded.
This is an irreplaceable tool that grows with your child.
The beads do not fit on the needle. You can purchase them by selecting the rings on a horizontal dowel + needle set.

Vision is primarily the developing sense of the newborn. The carousels hung above the baby gradually awaken it, becoming the first sensory activity.
"Gobbi" - the third Montessori carousel that can be introduced to a 8-10 week old baby. You can make it yourself by downloading this digital memo with a print-ready template and hanging instructions.
In Montessori pedagogy, the first objects introduced to the newborn are precisely the carousels. They are used from the first day until about three months and are designed considering the development of the baby's vision and attention focus, later becoming an important foundation for intellectual development.
Since vision is still developing at this stage, and color differentiation is weak, this carousel specifically enhances that.Made of different shades of spherical shapes, the carousel will help the baby's eyes develop depth perception. The spheres are hung from the darkest - closest to the lightest - farthest, so as the vision improves, the baby will be able to see the object hung higher.
This is a classic educational toy where children stack colorful rings on a vertical dowel. A simple yet rich activity develops fine motor skills, color recognition, and logical thinking.
The game doesn't end when the rings are threaded onto the dowel: as the child grows, they learn to knock them off and put them back in their designated places. This encourages a complete activity cycle, reminding to return objects to their places after play. This game aligns with Montessori principles: clear structure, precise movement, finite result, and the opportunity for self-directed learning.
The tool helps to develop
- Fine motor skills development: stacking rings enhances finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Color recognition: bright rings help children learn to classify and name colors.
- Understanding causality: discovering cause-and-effect relationships (I thread the ring – it stays) helps to develop logic.
- Self-directed learning: the simple design allows the child to act independently, without adult intervention.
Sustainability and safety
Eco-friendly materials: made from responsibly sourced rubberwood – a sustainable, fast-growing tree source.
Safe paints: water-based non-toxic paints are used, free from harmful chemicals.
Durability: a sturdy construction ensures that the toy can be passed down from generation to generation or used in educational institutions.

March is the season when the first signs of spring return. Have you already heard the cheerful songs of birds in your yard? Maybe even spotted a few? But did you know — not all birds fly away for the winter. Some of them stay with us all year round.
Together with “Skaitau nuo gimimo” we created these 3-part Montessori cards, designed to help children recognize different birds and learn which ones spend the winter here, and which return with the spring.
You can enrich the activity by listening to bird calls (link included in the file).
For older children, these cards also make a wonderful tool for practicing letter recognition and early reading.
